Lacquered E8 Table by Mathias Hahn
Dezeen today has published this really cool lacquered table designed by Mathias Hahn, from Okay Studio. I really appreciated its proportion as well as the use of the lacquer everywhere except on the top, revealing a beautiful redwood texture.
Mathias took inspiration from some postwar improvised furniture, and decided to exaggerate the tails of the top allowing user to easily fix the table even if everyday objects, such magazines or laptops occupying it. Clever.
